This post is very special and it belongs to each one of us because today is the International Peace Day, also known as World Peace day, which is celebrated on 21st September annually.
According to Wikipedia – “It is dedicated to world peace, and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access. The day was first celebrated in 1982, and is kept by many nations, political groups, military groups, and peoples. In 2013, for the first time, the Day was dedicated by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to peace education, the key preventive means to reduce war sustainably.”
As you all know the hashtag #UNGA is trending top on twitter and many Political Leaders, President and Prime Ministers had participated to give their views and talks on how we all can make a difference in this world which may brings a good change in world and a better place to live.
“The 17 Sustainable Development Goals were unanimously adopted by the 193 Member States of the United Nations at an historic summit of the world’s leaders in New York in September 2015. The new ambitious 2030 agenda calls on countries to begin efforts to achieve these goals over the next 15 years. It aims to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. The Sustainable Development Goals are integral to achieving peace in our time, as development and peace are interdependent and mutually reinforcing. The Day’s theme for 2016 is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.” – UN’s Website (Open in new window).
I really think that there is no place for war in this world. We all are humans and had been created by one GOD and have been blessed with equal rights and opportunities. Fighting a war doesn’t makes one Supreme, Big, Great or anything. But it makes our planet a worse place to live. Though we have many differences in many ways but we should always care and understand each other and stand equally for each others right and equality. This beautiful life is a gift to us from Almighty GOD. Be thankful to him and ask him for blessings and forgiveness.
Here are a few quotes which i would like to share on #PeaceDay.

A Hadith on Peace in Islam :
